A Guide To Graphic Designing

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Graphic design is a form of visual communication. Business logos, posters, magazine ads, and album covers are examples of the uses of graphic design. A graphic designer works with drawn, painted or computer images to convey messages. Graphic designers also create the graphics used in movies and movie credits, the images on your T-shirts and the advertisements on billboards. Designers work in conjunction with their clients to produce images they that represent their ideas. Since images are a powerful and compelling tool of communication and convey not only emotions but also moods. The image carries the entire message with a few words to help.

These designers use words in a different way as compared to writers. The look of the words is more important than their meaning. For example, if you are given a book and asked to redesign the text, what would you do? You could change the font or font size. You could rearrange the paragraphs and the margins. You could use decorative lettering for the beginning of each paragraph. You could have the titles of the chapters embossed. Graphic designers use all these elements in order to connect with the intended audience.

The designer is the link between the client and the audience. The task of creating a design is the science of bridging the gap between what the client wants and what the audience sees. The client is too close to understand how the message needs to be presented and the targeted audience is too broad to design a direct communication. Since the audience is not a part of the creative process it is difficult for them to understand the idea. The designers and clients work together to produce designs that convey the idea and purpose of the message. The graphic designer then works with market researchers, illustrators, photographers and typesetters to create the final design product.

If you plan on taking this up as a career you need to have a passion for computer technology, the arts and creative design. A graphic school trains students in various fields like digital film and video production, animation, visual arts, website technology, digital production and other related subjects. The courses offered vary among schools. Some offer degree courses while some offer diplomas. Choose a college that has affiliations with the top companies in the field. This will help you get an internship and help you later with a job. Also choose a school that that has the best technology and design software. You can find out about this by talking to existing students online or on the campus.

Here is a list of the top ten Graphic Design Schools in the United States.
1. Carnegie Mellon University
2. Virginia Commonwealth University
3. Rhode Island School of Design
4. Pratt Institute
5. Maryland Institute College of Art
6. Cranbrook Academy of Art
7. University of Delaware
8. California Institute of the Arts
9. Corcoran College of Art and Design
10. Drexel University

These schools offer a traditional four year undergraduate degree that results in a Bachelor of Fine Arts, but students can also choose to embark upon a five year program that results in a Bachelor of Graphic Design which shows that a student has reached a higher level of proficiency.

3 Vital Tools Affiliate Marketers Need to Survive Online

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

One sure goal of every affiliate marketer is to earn a greater pay check at the end of the month. Wishing itself does not generate profit, what does are hard work and a continuous learning experience. For those who have been making around 5 figures monthly, it took them months or even years to build a huge responsive list which is the life-bone of online business.

These three vital tools can guarantee your survival online if you have them. The tactics that have worked cements down to effective marketing tips that has never failed but sometimes relegated by today's affiliate marketers. Let us check them out:

(1). Auto responder.
This should become your best friend online if you want to make continuous income in your affiliate marketing. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect. With an auto responder form effectively placed at the uppermost right end of your sales page or name squeeze page, you will be able to offer a free gift in order to convince visitors to opt-in to your list. However, you should load your auto responder with scheduled follow-up emails so as to educate them the more.

(2). Write articles and submit to top directories.
Do you know that reputation sells? Well, this is the second tool that has made some of the big guys online angrily rich. When web surfers constantly see your name on articles, they would begin to trust your recommendations which will lead them to buy from you. The more articles you write the greater reputation you will build for your online business. Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.

(3). Promote a single product on one website.
I guess I should highlight this one. There is nothing so demeaning as a website that sells everything. Do not act like you are a shopping mall otherwise, people will begin to see through and neglect your offers. A single product is ideal for one sales page. Let your expertise stand out. If you have various quality products to market online, start your own blog and review about them on a periodic basis. Learn to use animated banners to improve click-through and conversion.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part. A lot has been written about affiliate marketing and would be nice if you look out for them for a greater success.

Five Simple and Easy Steps of Creating Web 2.0 Logo PSD

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

A brand mark identity can be the best way to define what a company is all about that is why, business owners, today are running to get their unique corporate identity. The concept of a logo design is around for centuries which keep on changing its face with time.

There was a time when animated logo designs became one of the top demands of the market but now the latest logo fashion in the market is of web 2.0 logo PSD.

PSD is an acronym for Photoshop. It is a soft ware which is often used by small business owners to get their brand mark identity for free. Even many professional graphic designers often prefer using Photoshop to design their client's business identity. Therefore, we are giving you a simple tutorial to come up with web 2.0 logo.

First step: How to begin?

Open a new document with a black background.

Second step: How to insert text?

Go for the Type/Text Tool and type the name of your website or the name you want to use in your brand mark identity. When you are done with the text, resize it as per your requirement and place it in the centre.

Third step: How to use blending options?

You can double click on the text layer to open blending options. Its up to you to select which blending option will suit your requirement; however, we can provide you some ideas. For stroke, you can use the color number 0052D9 while for gradient you should play around with different colors to get the one you want for your business identity. Once you are done with the color selection, you can preview the image to see if you have really achieved what you wanted or not.

Fourth step: How to insert an image or icon?

You will easily find the image button to add your desired image or icon in your corporate identity. Images should be in accordance with the business nature and the text you have employed in your logo design. Have you seen Twitter's brand mark which has a bird's image that totally comprehends with the text used in its logo? You should also try to make it look as interesting as possible to stimulate readers.

Fifth step: How to give a final touch?

Provide a glow in the background and some reflections to make it look more interesting. It is very easy to do, you just have to select from the options given in the tab.

You can now preview the final outcome and see if you want to make further changes to it or not. This option is definitely better than web 2.0 logo templates which are used by thousands of the business owners. Furthermore, if you are still not satisfied, you can always go for a professional graphic designer's help to get your unique corporate identity.

How To Save Money With Pet Insurance

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

With all of the new treatment options available for your pets now days and with these treatments continuing to push veterinarian bills through the roof, pet insurance is an option that more and more pet owning are considering and are using to save significant amounts of money.

It seems like it was just a few years ago that pet insurance would have been ranked with taking policies out on children and having dreaded disease coverage. It just didn't seem important enough to buy. However, now the trend seems to be reversing itself.

There are some thoughts out there that people would be better off foregoing pet insurance and putting the money they would spend on those dreaded premiums into a savings account. You are looking at spending from ,000 to ,000 on pet insurance when you consider the average age of a pet these days. Chances are very slim that you would ever have to spend that kind of money on veterinarian bills over the life of your pet.

Or would you, over a pet lifespan that is probably 10 years or more?

However, there are many people out there who treat their pets just like family. They would do anything to save their pet, and that would include spending big bucks on medical treatments. In this instance, then, pet insurance would likely be the better alternative rather than going into debt.

What have changed in the last several years are the new tests and treatment options that are available today in the field of veterinary science. Vets today can offer treatments that were never heard of a few years ago and at prices that go through the roof! Consider these following therapies that are now available for pets:

* Treatments that were once only reserved for humans, to everything from radiation therapy to kidney transplants, are now available for your pets. These conditions which were once regarded as fatal are now treatable at costs ranging from ,000 to ,000 and more.

* Veterinarians now have access to costly diagnostic and sophisticated tools such as MRIs. These screenings can not only boost the cost of the medical exam, but they can often find problems that would have once gone untreated.

* These expensive procedures and tools have created health-care inflation in regards to the pet doctor world.

This inflation has seen a very significant rise in those people that are now taking out pet insurance. It is now estimated that approximately 5% of pet owners in the United Sates have pet insurance. This has risen from less than 1% in 1995. Pet insurers have joined forces with the American Kennel Club and with Petco Animal Supplies to offer pet insurance. Some major employers now provide pet insurance as one of their optional employee benefits.

Veterinary Pet Insurance, which is the oldest pet insurance company, has seen a steady increase in its revenues by a 40% annual rate since 1997. This is the year it finally broke even after about 15 straight years in the red.

You will still have to consider the following if you want to take out pet insurance:

* Most of the pet insurance policies have co-pays, deductibles and caps that will put a limit on how much will be paid out in the course of a year.

* Some pre-existing problems and conditions that are hereditary such as hip dysplasia in retrievers and German shepherds are normally excluded.

* The older your animal gets, the more you will have to pay in premiums. Some pet insurance companies will not insure a pet older than 9 years old, while other companies levy a hefty surcharge.

Parenting Consistency Is Overrated

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

We've all heard that consistency is the key to good parenting. But many parents believe that it's more important than it really is. If you're doing simple behavior modification then consistency is essential. Giving the reward or punishment every time you see the behavior will reinforce change.

Behavior modification as a science began in the early 1900s when Pavlov made some exciting discoveries as he worked with dogs. If he consistently rang a bell just before he fed the dogs, then he could get the dogs to salivate by simply ringing the bell. This discovery of how to motivate a dog was picked up by Watson in the 1920s and he began to apply behavior modification to people. In fact, it wasn't long before behavior modification became a primary way to help people stop smoking, lose weight, and deal with a host of other behavioral issues.

By the 1950s behavior modification became the primary tool for parenting. Giving rewards and punishment to children worked quite well to modify their behavior. And one of the things they all learned was that the key to behavior modification is consistency. The more consistent you are, the faster you'll see change.

People, however, are different than animals because they have hearts and that affects the learning process. The heart contains things like emotions, desires, convictions, and passion. In short, the heart is a wrestling place where decisions are made. A child's tendencies come from the heart. When a child lies to get out of trouble, that's a heart issue. If a brother reacts with anger each time his sister is annoying, that's a heart issue. Simply focusing on behavior may provide some quick change, but lasting change takes place in the heart.

Parents who simply use behavior modification often end up with kids who look good on the outside while having significant problems on the inside. Consistency can teach kids to appear good, clean, and nice but other parenting skills must be added to the picture in order to help children change their hearts.

Rhonda finds this principle particularly helpful. "I used to feel guilty all the time because I can't be consistent. I have four kids and a house to run. Invariably I'd have to sacrifice consistency in an area with one or more of my kids to accomplish my other tasks. When I realized that there's more to parenting than just being consistent, it freed me up to work on bigger goals with my kids. The consistency trap produced a lot of guilt in me. Now I realize that there's much more to parenting and I feel freed up to use other tools as well. I'm continually asking question about my children's hearts and I'm learning a lot about how to mold and influence them to go in the right direction. I'm seeing more change in my kids with this new approach."

When training dogs to salivate, then consistency is essential. But you're trying to raise children. You don't want children to do the right thing just so that they can get a reward. If you do, then kids learn to ask the question, "What's in it for me?" "What am I going to get if I do what you say?" Instead, you want children to change their hearts. You want them to ask the question, "What's the right thing to do here?" That shift in thinking is what we call "heart work."

As children grow older, you can move further away from a simple behavior modification approach. And when you do, and you're focusing on the heart, then another quality besides consistency becomes even more important: creativity.

The heart is where children believe things. It's where they develop operating principles about life. Kids learn through experience, stories, activity, and modeling. Sometimes children develop resistance in their hearts to a consistent approach. The same lecture over and over again builds up immunity through patterns of arguing, bad attitudes, and manipulation. Furthermore, kids tend to want bigger and bigger rewards for compliance.

Creativity has the ability to move around the resistance of children and allows a truth to explode with meaning inside the heart. The best teachers are the ones who use creative teaching methods to communicate their point. Ed is mean to his sister. Dave is trying to help his son develop kindness. Sometimes he uses a consequence to correct his son. Other times he requires an apology, or has his son practice doing the right thing, requiring three acts of kindness before Ed can go.

Dave is also having his son memorize scripture, and they've had several conversations about cruelty in the adult world. Dave is helping his son develop compassion for people, and they recently attended the Special Olympics to give them a better sense of empathy for others who are different. Dave will be successful with his son. It'll take time, but his commitment to creativity will help his son develop a better response toward his sister and eventually to others in life.

Please don't misunderstand us. Consistency is important, especially when kids are young. But if you think more broadly about parenting and embrace creativity into your training, then you'll be more effective at molding the hearts of your kids at any age. Your primary task as parent is to teach your kids, and a little work in the creativity department can make all the difference.

Deuteronomy 11:18-20 not only tells parents to train their kids but it tells them how to do it. Notice the creativity opportunities designed by God. "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." If you take that verse apart you'll start thinking about your own home and your own kids and creative ways to teach them about life.

Even in Old Testament times God knew that kids learn best through life experiences. Add creativity to your parenting goals and you'll enhance your training ten-fold.

Mobility Management - Automation Is Key to Efficient Corporate Labor Performance

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Government, business, and consumers are swimming together in a debt laden pool. All alike are being sucked into the vortex of an ever expanding burdensome financial debt load. The newspapers scream about deficits, businesses are rocked with one fiscal blow after another, and fear of the dreaded double dip is the elephant in your executive's board room. The knowledgeable use of automation is a real key to efficiently managing, competing and generally surviving in such dangerous economic waters.

Thirty years ago I was visiting a third world country. Early one morning I was awaken with a horrendous shrill metal scraping metal noise. It was a train derailing next to the Hostel I was staying in. A few hours later I looked out the window and saw a mass of humanity struggling to right the train and repair the mess with human power, animal power, simple levers and ingenuity. I was amazed at the controlled chaos I was witnessing and asked my translator, why not bring in some lifts, tractors, cranes and help all these poor folks out doing this dangerous labor in the extreme heat? My translator matter of factly said, "We have a billion people in this country. We choose not to use such equipment so we can provide our people the work they need".

Simply speaking it was just their way. It wasn't efficient, it wasn't safe, and it wasn't really even cheaper in the long run. It explained a lot as to why this country at that time was not able to compete in an international economy. Currently it is transforming itself into a developing powerhouse. This same country is becoming an automated, efficient, dominating economic entity as it is lifting millions of its people out of poverty and servicing many of the worlds corporate powerhouses. Telecommunications automation is one of the keys to this economic renaissance.

Telecommunications An Enterprise TOP Spend Category

Telecom is often one of the top spend categories most companies require. Wireless spend has recently surpassed landline corporate costs in the Telecommunications subset. Automation of your enterprises Mobility/Wireless Expense Management is as fundamental to your organizations competitiveness as an advancing third world country employing both cheap labor and automation to give it the edge it needed to propel forward into the world economy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Aberdeen Group found the following Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) demonstrating why automating your enterprises Wireless Expense Management (WEM) efforts make a world of sense in a world of expense.

Best-in-class companies exhibited the following characteristics:

  • 45 percent average productivity increase for fixed invoice reconciliation, audit and disputes
  • 41 percent average productivity increase for fixed procurement and service order tracking
  • 42 percent average productivity increase for mobile invoice reconciliation, audit and disputes
  • 40 percent average productivity increase for mobile procurement and service order tracking

Additional Aberdeen Findings reported;

Execute on Wireless Expense Management to Drive ROI, showed that best-in-class companies accomplished a:

  • 31 percent decrease in the cost of monthly wireless voice services
  • 24 percent decrease in the cost of monthly wireless data services
  • 26 percent decrease in the cost of managing devices"

Automated Efficiency Saves Big Dollars on Corporate Telecom Spend

This important KPI data demonstrates that best-in-class companies lower telecom spend management as much as 40 percent. Extraordinary labor cost reduction will optimize a company's telecom management team's time and overall corporate spend. Such efficiency will free your human assets to focus on other critical areas of telecom infrastructure, delve into optimum capacity issues and evaluate additional expense management savings opportunities they have been too busy to investigate or uncover. Compounding your telecom team's optimization effectiveness while resulting in corporate savings will far surpass any costs incurred during the update while enhancing your ROI.

eProcurement and Help Desk Time/Cost Savings Generator

Another key efficiency generator is the Wireless Procurement and Help Desk modules of Wireless Expense Management. Employees will inevitably require new device activations and upgrades or at least Help Desk support on issues that arise. Combining the automated solution with a centralized data base useful for reporting and asset management, with a knowledgeable wireless support staff will allow your wireless end-users the opportunity to quickly communicate their issues, submit a ticket and get back to work. This wile your (or your outsource experts) wireless support team procures the devices or resolves the issues. This as your corporate personnel is diligently fulfilling their core responsibilities without needless distraction.

Optimal Team Performance

It is exceedingly important to integrate tested automated solutions with TEM/WEM Best Practices to give your management team the best possible chance for their team to perform optimally.

Whether your in-house team avails itself of the best TEM/WEM software available, you choose to outsource to those with the automated tools and the expertise to utilize it, or an intelligent blend of the two (we will call Smart-Sourcing); such knowledgeable use of automation may be as critical to your company's survival as it was critical for the country I visited so long ago reversing 1,000 years of decline while leaping into the 21st century.

Like my translator, your management team can undoubtedly explain many reasons why the status quo is the best your company can hope to achieve when it comes to telecom/wireless optimization. We've never did it like this before..., Such automation may be too costly..., we have no in-house expertise..., or even "We choose not to use such automation, so we can provide our people the work they need". However, if a third world country can turn it around and make such a leap forward with great benefit, your telecom management team can dynamically improve its efficiency realizing the terrific advantage automation coupled with industry best practices a Wireless/Telecom Expense Management solution can afford.

Let me know if I can help you determine how best your team can utilize a Telecom Expense Management or Mobility Cost Management solution.

A Write Up on Website Development for Small Business

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Small business website development is the real key to the success of small and medium business enterprises that crowd the web world today. The companies do not have the resources to go in for sophisticated, high-end, fully software-loaded websites that big Corporates and business conglomerates indulge in usually. SMEs have to confine their websites within the frameworks of their budget and objectives. There is no money to splurge on fancy websites. Here the purpose of the website is to declare a web presence and also to promote the marketing activities of the companies, utilizing the potential of the internet world. Customer friendliness is the watchword here. Small business website has to increasingly depend on Customer service which is increasingly seen as one of the most valuable uses for a business website. The website should be available on a 24 hour, seven days a week basis.

The basic rule for small business website is that every page of the website should be written from the visitor's point of view and not from that of the web promoter. The ten fundamental rules for effective small business website development are:

1. Always Be accessible. Show very clearly on your site all the ways that your customer can contact you - including e-mail, phone and fax numbers, and your office hours.

2. Return every e-mail or phone call in the same day, as far as reasonably possible. This may sound simplistic, but a recent experiment with the top Fortune 100 companies showed that nearly a third failed to respond to e-mail sent through their website within one month!

3. Acknowledge all orders. Send e-mail confirmations (this can be done very effectively with autoresponders), and if you're shipping actual products, give tracking numbers and expected delivery dates.

4. Provide a clear return policy, honour it and learn from it. This may give you more information about what's working and what's not.

5. Expect more phone calls. If your Web site traffic and response rates grow (which is, of course, what we want), so will the volume of phone calls, whatever your business or industry.

Regardless of the site quality, clear returns and privacy policies, secure servers, etc., people still require human interaction.

6. Keep the loading time of your webpage to the minimum.

7. Cut down on graphics and action movies and increase the response time of the website so that the client can quickly access all the pages he wants.

8. Search engine optimisation is a must if the website is to be brought during searches.

9. Put effective yet limited banner-ads and logos on the website. They all take time to load.

10. Put content that guide the client easily and lucidly through steps till confirming the order.

Small business web development must offer custom web development for small business websites which should ideally include complete ecommerce solutions and other such current tools. Small business website development keeps its focus on the development of affordable yet professionally designed websites for the use of the small business community. The constraints of budget, time and purpose must dictate such development without compromising on quality. Such optimal design and development are possible taking into account the fast development in technology and concepts of web development.

The small business segment in the world internet economy, mainly cater to marketing of products and services. They enter the web world with minimal investment and maximum expectations. They look to derive maximum benefits out of this ethereal web world. With the present stage of development, these expectations are not beyond the realms of reality. On the contrary, they are realistic and down to earth. The cost of domain registration web hosting, web design and development etc have all come down sharply following the widespread of use of the internet and internet technology. There are thousands of web development companies that offer packaged website development specifically designed for small business sector. No great fancy stuff here. Just the basic things- HTML-Flash-minimum graphics and effective content The key area to be ensured is the reliability of the web hosting service provider and the continuous availability of the website to the clients.

Small website development can be termed successful if they achieve these basic standards. Small clients who own these websites can rest assured that they have not exceeded their budget, means and at the same time that they have boosted their revenue earning potential, thereby adding substantially to their bottom line. Professional yet affordable websites development has become the order of the day. Who want to pump in thousands of dollars into developing a monolith of a website which no one would want to browse for fear of interminable loading time and cumbersome, interfering pages and pop-ups?

Certainly many successful small business websites owe their very existence to the discretion and maturity shown in selecting the appropriate model for websites and deploying content and technology in tune with their business objectives. Small business companies should taking care in finalising the right professional web developer who is well-versed with the requirements of the entrepreneur and the limitations of resources. Ideally small business website development should concentrate on and ensure that:

1. Website should offer all basic needs- dynamic web pages, optimal animation and graphics and realistic content.

2. Website should have minimum lead time between crashes and resumptions.

3. Websites should be able to offer 24hour support.

4. Good software and website maintenance agreements should be available.

5. Good feedback and contact arrangements with order and delivery tracking services.

This should put a small business website in a high orbit with no chance of coming down in a hurry. Small website development is all about, sense of direction and awareness of its' limitations. This professional approach should make the small business website eminently economical and small business website development worthy of the great efforts put in.

Would You Like to Know How to Train Your Cat?

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

There is a common myth that while dogs can be trained to perform all kinds of complicated tricks and tasks that cats don't have the intelligence or inclination to be trained. While it's true that cats can be much more stubborn than dogs they certainly possess enough intelligence to be trained to be better housemates at least, and with a little patience, most cats can learn some basic rules.

In fact, there are many examples of cats who have been trained to do much more than just use a litter tray and stop scratching the furniture. YouTube has several video clips of cats who have been trained to use a human toilet, although I disappointingly none appear to have been taught how to flush. There are also several cat circuses around the world based in Florida, Moscow and France where cats have been taught to perform all kinds of funny feats (all humanely, of course).

The key to teaching your cat which behaviours are good and which are bad, is consistency. Whenever you see your cat do something undesirable you should deter him immediately. Likewise, when he is performing the desirable action that you are trying to encourage he should be praised and rewarded.

To stop unwanted behaviours, the element of surprise is a powerful tool. Cats hate sudden loud noises, and the initial shock will usually stop them in their tracks. Clapping loudly or shaking a metal tin full of coins are two favourite noisemakers used by owners to startle their cat. Squirting a little water at the cat from a spray bottle is also a common practice. It is important to accompany the action with a command, for example by shouting "No!" or "Stop That!" After time, the cat will associate the command with the unpleasant noise, or getting a wet nose, and will stop what he is doing without you needing to reach for a spray bottle or can or coins.

The exception to this rule is if the cat is misbehaving due to stress. Perhaps you have just moved home, another animal or human has moved into the house, or there are other factors upsetting your pet. In this case, adding to their stress levels by shouting or spraying water at him is only likely to exacerbate the problem, or cause him to act out in other ways. If your cat is stressed to an environmental factor, their bad behaviour will probably be temporary and you should treat him with patience and compassion until he returns to normal.

Cats are fast learners, and can be pretty clever when it comes to getting their own way. If your cat realizes that the noise or water is coming from you, and that nothing worse arises from his misbehaving, or worse, realizes that nothing will happen when you are not around to see him, he may continue to act up. This is where you will have to pit human wit against feline!

Removing temptation is the first step. Never leave food lying on a surface that you don't want the cat to jump onto, especially while your cat is a kitten. If they never learn to associate an area with food then they won't go looking for it there. The second step is replacement. If your catch is scratching, then they will need a scratching post to turn to instead of the wallpaper or furniture. If they are jumping up on high surfaces they may need a cat tree or a raised bed where they can feel safe. If they are urinating outside of the litter tray you may want to replace the litter or tray with a different type.

One way to deter your cat from jumping onto kitchen counters, mantlepieces and other surfaces is to place double sided sticky tape in the area that he usually jumps onto. The sticky sensation on his paws will stop most cats from jumping up. Another method of booby trapping is to build pyramids of empty drinks cans, tupperware or dominoes that will fall down with a clatter when your cat disturbs them.

One final cat training tip is to buy in lots of aluminium foil. Cats dislike the texture of crumpled foil so will not walk on it if placed on a surface, and it can also be used to cover up the scents left by your cat in his favourite scratching or spraying places. Your home may look like the interior of a UFO for a couple of weeks, but if you have provided other places for your cat to carry out his natural habits it will be worth it in the end.

Want to Modify Your Game - Check Out the Flight Simulator Add-ons!

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

As the popularity for the simulator games is increasing, it has encouraged and forced the developers to develop several add-on packages for both commercial and non-commercial simulators. The flight simulator add-ons basically add some features to the existing system to make it more interesting and entertaining. They just give some extra instruments or tools to the existing game. For example some of the added features of a cockpit are:

  • An animated 3D engine fans.
  • A detailed and textured map for the pilots convenience.
  • Accurate sound system.
  • There a fuel planner to enable to the pilots to plan their journey well before in advance and to avoid risks.
  • There are several online manuals available.
  • The instruments panel is very accurate and the yoke and other control systems are very well crafted.
  • Similarly, if we look at the flight simulator add-ons featured for the Boeing 727:
  • It is equipped with a fully functional fuel system.
  • It has proper and genuine engine and cockpit sounds.
  • There are proper radio systems.
  • There are proper landing gears and doors, an animated rudder.
  • Detailed maps and several log books for the pilots, etc.

Thus, we can see that the flight simulator add-ons have made the gaming process more easy and interactive for its users. With all the detailed mapping, it has become very easy for the pilot to find the route without getting lost. The full moving parts of the aircraft including the flaps, rudder, spoilers, ailerons, gear, doors, cargo hatches, reversers and cockpit controls make it look very natural and realistic.

Also, the sound systems give a more real effect to the player. This makes it more thrilling and adventurous. Thus it can be said that the flight simulator add-ons are very important to keep the aviation enthusiasts enjoying the games.

Smart Women Never Miss an Opportunity

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Recently our family took a trip to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. It was a great trip that was both fun and educational for the entire family. Did you know that the Falcon and the Cheetah are the two fastest animals in the air and on the ground? I also found it interesting just how effective the Park was at marketing. Everywhere you went in the Park, whether it was to watch the "African Birds Take Flight" show, the "Journey into Africa tour" or the local café, they never missed an opportunity to educate you on the benefits of membership. This got me thinking about how Smart Women never miss an opportunity to get the word out about their Big Idea or entrepreneurial dreams.

Are you a woman with a Big Idea? Do you take every opportunity to market your business? Let me ask you a question: How are you getting your message out to your ideal client? Are you sitting in your office waiting for the phone to ring or watching your inbox to see if you receive any emails from people needing your product or service? In my work, I often notice there are one or two marketing tools that women use to build their business. Usually they have a business card ready to give away to anyone who would like one. And sometimes they will have a web site listed on the business card so that their ideal client can take a look online at their services. It's possible that they may occasionally attend some networking events.

When I first started out in business over 20 years ago, I relied heavily on referrals and networking events to market my business. In today's world, with so many messages being sent to us 24 hours a day through the media (internet, television, radio), you need to explore and discover innovative and creative ways to communicate your message to your ideal client in a way that will attract them to you. (see my most recent marketing strategy in the photo above)

In the Women's Success Circles, I share 10 Marketing Strategies to support women in taking their business to the next level. These are strategies that I've used over the years to begin, grow and double my profits time and time again. I'll share several with you so that you can think about how to never miss an opportunity to get your message out:

1. Publish a newsletter. This is a very effective way to share your product or service with your ideal client. You are reading my e-newsletter (ezine) right now. I send this every week to 1,000's of women across the country. It's important that you offer some great content like an informative article, some valuable tips and of course, information about your product or service.

2. Attend events where your ideal client will be. Tomorrow I will be attending the Manhattan Beach Women in Business Conference. There will be a fantastic group of 400 or so, positive women entrepreneurs at this event.

3. Social Networking. This is a tool that all Smart Women entrepreneurs should be using. It's free and you can make some excellent connections using this tool. I'm currently active on Facebook, Twitter, and Linked In, which are in the top 3 of all Social Networking venues. I made a connection on Facebook that gave me the opportunity to host a teleseminar for women entrepreneurs and I've also had several ideal clients show up from all 3 groups.

"Word of mouth" referrals from satisfied clients and colleagues are still the optimum way to attract your ideal client. However, to stay in front of your ideal client and keep them remembering who you are and what benefits you offer, it's essential that you use many forms of marketing in different places to retain their loyalty and interest.

At the end of the day, we were tired and hungry from our day at the Animal Park. Everyone in our family was looking forward to the pool, spa (and wine for the parents!). However, we made sure to do one important thing before we left the Wild Animal Park: We joined their membership program and began to plan our next trip back to enjoy all the benefits that membership has to offer.

Anything is possible. Everything is waiting for you.

Behaviour Analysis

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Introduction

A precisely established thought-pattern of an individual towards someone/something is mindset, while a specifically established work-pattern of an individual towards someone/something is behaviour. An established mindset/behaviour is evolved over a period of time and gives a consistent look to an individual. The very bases of mindset are knowledge, intellect, intuition, and collective wisdom, consequently a change or some shift in bases changes the mindset. On the other hand, the very bases of behaviour are some impulsions or internal human desires and a few compulsions or external social pressures such as physical needs, psychological instincts, mind powers, soul urges, rites & rituals, and social customs. A firmness and flexibility is attached, inevitably, with mindset/behaviour. Firmness maintains the previous achievements of an individual, while flexibility provides room for new achievements to a person. It is risky to mend mindset and behaviour, abruptly. An abrupt change may disturb some positive character-traits, as well.

A parallel presence or coexistence of mindset and behaviour is essential aspect of life phenomena. They are inter-dependant and inter-linked with each other. A mindset denotes the conceptual aspect of an individual, while the behaviour is practical facet of mindset. A human mind has three basic powers or intelligences - Decision Power or Perceptual Intelligences, Emotional Power or Emotional Intelligences, and Will Power or Intentional Intelligences. Behaviour is practical manifestation of mindset; so that it gets strength from mind powers or multiple intelligences. A de-link or independence between mindset and behaviour creates an abnormal personality.

The prominent internal human desires that work as impulsive drives for specific behaviour are multiple survival needs such as food, cloth, shelter, sleep, leisure, health, self-esteem, social-recognition, and financial opulence. An excessive or unjust provision of survival needs leads, ultimately, towards some abnormal behaviour. For example, excessive diet mean excessive fat and countless body problems, excessive sleep mean lethargy and mal-functioning of body systems, excessive dressing of cloth mean excessive burden and distorted body mechanics, excessive sheltered housing mean congested environment and infected living conditions, excessive work pressure mean burnout and physical fatigue, excessive dirt mean pollution and poor health profile, excessive esteem mean conceit and snobbish social environ, concentration of wealth mean poverty and exploitative economic environment, and concentration of power mean corruption and tyrannical political conditions, and so on and so forth. An opposite work-pattern is established due to some shortage provision of survival needs.

The prominent external social pressures that work as compulsive drives on an individual towards some definite work-patterns are multi-dimensional collective systems of a society such as social network of individuals/families, sectoral network of entrepreneurs / firms, political network of statesmen / state institutions. An individual is inseparably linked with multiple social institutions that give him/her strength and recognition at all levels of social interaction. A sustained social interaction shapes a definite interactive behaviour. Moreover, a person is, inescapably, an economic agent; he/she earns as worker / entrepreneur and spends modestly or generously or lavishly. A specific earning and spending behaviour is outcome of economic interaction of individuals. In addition, an individual is, unavoidably, a citizen of a state; he/she follows some state rules and participates in state affairs through ballot and civic responsibilities, consequently, a distinct participatory behaviour is established. In nutshell, the social, economic, and political pressures put infallible imprints on one's behaviour.

Taxonomy of Behaviour

Life is conscious move towards certain goals & objectives. An established mindset and evolved behaviour are vital supportive tools for purposive struggle of life. An activity, either mental or physical, consumes human energy during some conscious effort. Conscious energy is scarce gift of nature. A viable solution to scarcity phenomenon is to delegate some conscious efforts to pre-conscious. At pre-conscious level an activity is done nicely / swiftly, but psychological exhaustion is extremely minute. It happens on countless occasions of life, for example, a car driving is a conscious activity, initially, but it becomes, dominantly, a pre-conscious activity with the passage of time, consequently, it becomes a habitual activity and mental exhaustion is negligible during car driving. We may define, a habit is acquired behaviour-pattern and it is pre-conscious, dominantly. Behaviour based on habits predominantly is habitual behaviour, while behaviour without habits dominantly is non-habitual behaviour. A habitual behaviour enhances the productivity and quality of certain activities, however, a habitual behaviour is acquisitive and time-honored phenomenon; it is evolved slowly, gradually, and painfully. A non-habitual behaviour is conscious behaviour towards certain goals & objectives. It is noteworthy; all human activities are, generally, a blend of habits and non-habits.

A rational analysis of human behaviour manifests, a behaviour pattern, either habitual or non-habitual, has two levels - Normal & Abnormal. Abnormal behaviour is unintelligent and based on ignorance, while a normal behaviour is intelligent and based on knowledge. It is noteworthy that the abnormal is recognized as the terminal term of the normal. On the other hand, a moral examination of human behaviour reveals, a behaviour pattern, either habitual or non-habitual, has two types - Right & Wrong. A right behaviour is judicious, responsible, and fruitful for mankind; while a wrong behaviour is unjust, irresponsible, and harmful for humanity.

Absolute Bases of Human Behaviour

The absolute bases of human behavior are certain physical needs, a few psychological instincts, and some spiritual urges.

1. Physical Needs, The physical needs constantly instigate to an individual towards some specific behaviour-pattern. They remain active until their demand is not met. Physical needs are countless, quantitatively, and recursive, structurally. A just approach towards need satisfaction is essential for normal physical conditions.

2. Psychological Instincts, Instincts are essential aspect of human personality. An instinct is a natural tendency of self towards something. The very satisfaction of instinctual tendencies is necessary for peaceful mind. Human instincts are numerous such as parental instinct, gregarious instinct, learning instinct, and sex instinct. The intensity of instinctual pressures is extremely capricious, so that and instinctual-driven life may shape an unpredictable/volatile behaviour-pattern of an individual.

3. Soul Urges, A soul is vital aspect of human personality. A soul is immaterial energy with multiple urges. We may group them into three broad categories - religious urges, ethical urges, and aesthetic urges. A religious urge guides towards some definite faith and devotional behaviour. An ethical urge encourages some specific values and provides basis to moral behaviour. An aesthetic urge promotes artistic tendencies and provides basis to creative behaviour.

Balanced Human Behaviour

A balance human behaviour is ultimate objective of life. Physical needs or psychological instincts or soul urges are constant personality elements available to everyone; they provide a level playing field to all and sundry. A balance human behaviour is, dominantly, mind phenomenon. It is shaped due to multiple mind-powers/intelligences, distinctively gifted to different individuals. Every individual is endowed, naturally, by multiple intelligences. We may group them into three broad categories - Perceptual Intelligences, Emotional Intelligences, and Intentional Intelligences. The very basis of perceptual intelligences is intellect, while the sentiments and intentions are the foundation stones of emotional and intentional intelligences, respectively. Moreover, perceptual intelligences provide basis to good judgment, emotional intelligences breed better intuition, and intentional/practical intelligences develop wisdom. The stable combination of good judgment or decision power, intuition or emotional power, and wisdom or will power creates balance behaviour-pattern of individuals.

Multiple Intelligences - An Intensive Review

Man is endowed, naturally, by multiple intelligences. We may group these intelligences into three broad categories - Perceptual Intelligences, Emotional Intelligences, and Intentional Intelligences. We take an intensive but brief review of multiple intelligences to develop better understanding of behaviour.

Perceptual Intelligence - It is ability to understand, accurately. It has four aspects:

· Mathematical Intelligence/Logical Intelligence, it is ability to understand exact relations among things or persons or events.

· Linguistic Intelligence, it is ability to understand the correct connotation of language (words, phrases, sentences, etc.) and to use language correctly, both verbally as well as non-verbally.

· Spatial Intelligence, it is ability to understand spatial / geographical importance of something.

· Temporal Intelligence, it is ability to understand the temporal / historical importance of something.

Emotional Intelligence - It is ability to feel, truly. It has four aspects;

· Interpersonal Intelligence, it is ability to feel sentiments of others,

· Intra-personal Intelligence, it is ability to feel sentiments of self,

· Aesthetic Intelligence, it ability to feel beauty of animate and inanimate objects.

· Cultural Intelligence, it ability to feel virtue / vice of customary / non-customary behaviour of an individual or a group.

Intentional Intelligence - It is ability to do, properly. It has four aspects:-

· Leadership Intelligence/Entrepreneurship, it is ability to lead / organize, effectively.

· Imitational Intelligence/Followership, it is ability to follow, efficiently

· Peer Intelligence/Friendship, it is ability to work in a group of peers or team, friendly.

· Institutional Intelligence, it is ability to interact with institutions or to work in institutional setup, productively.

It is noteworthy that a human activity involves, generally, more than one or multiple intelligences. For example, an essay writing activity use logical intelligence for conceptual basis of essay, linguistic intelligence for proper usage of words and sentences, aesthetic intelligence for beautiful idioms and phrases, cultural intelligence to accommodate vice or virtue of ideas, and leadership intelligence to provide an effective shape to essay.

Characteristics of Mammals

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Of all the classes of animal life, mammals are considered the most advanced and probably the most popular class. Dogs and cats are mammals, squirrels and rabbits in our backyards are mammals as well. Horses, sheep, baboons, giraffes and elephants are mammals. For that matter, we human beings are mammals too.

Mammals vary greatly in size. The smallest mammal is the shrew with a body that is only a little more than 2 inches long and weighs less than some insects. In contrast, the largest mammal is the blue whale, which can sometimes measure up to 100 feet long and weigh as much as 130 tons. Mammals also differ in appearance in shape. Most of them walk on four legs, but not all of them do. Some mammals fly. Dolphins and whales have lost their hind limbs and now have taken fish-like shapes and spend their entire lives in the ocean.

What is a mammal? Mammals are vertebrates - they are animals with backbones. All mammals have lungs and breathe in air and all of them are warm-blooded (they are able to maintain a constant body temperature regardless of the outside temperature.) Mammals and birds share a common characteristic - the possession of four-chambered hearts that circulate blood efficiently to all parts of the body. All mammals, except two types that lay eggs, give birth to living young and provide protection and care for them before and after birth. Mammals are the only animals that possess true hair and the capacity to produce milk. In fact, the word "mammal" comes from the Latin word "mamma" which means "breast".

Mammals have other characteristics that are not so obvious. A mammal's heart and lungs are separated from the stomach by a wall of muscle called the diaphragm. A mammal's lower jaw has a single bone on each side. Mammals also have different types of teeth adapted to different uses. And most importantly, mammal brains are much more highly developed than the brains of any other animal.

In the struggle to survive, warm blood, improved methods of caring for young and superior intelligence have all given mammals great advantages through the ages. In fact, many scientists consider mammals as the dominant animals of the world.

Yet mammals did not start out immediately as mammals. Strange as it may seem, they rose from the reptile family. In the Mesozoic era, a branch of reptiles began to grow coats of hair instead of armor and slowly turned warm-blooded. Some of them began to keep eggs inside their bodies instead of laying eggs. The first mammals were probably very tiny and timid creatures, like today's rats and mice. They were nocturnal and hid for protection during the day. When conditions of the Earth gradually changed, the dinosaurs could not adapt to this dramatic shift, so their numbers grew smaller and smaller. When they died out, the more adaptable mammals later arose in the Miocene epoch.

Between 3500 and 5000 species of mammals live in the world today and more varieties under them. Many of these animals can trace their lineage to their ancestors that adapted and survived through the Ice Age. Now, mammals have developed in a bewildering variety of sizes and shapes, classified by scientists according to body structure and relationships. In all, under the mammal kingdom, there are now 18 different groups or orders.

3D Animation Movie Maker - The Evolution of Making Animations at Home

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

I guess a lot of people would like to make their own movies. By that I mean to go beyond editing together movie clips taken while on holiday, to making movies which tell a story. In most cases professional actors are expensive and most friends don't make good actors. This is why making a 3D animation movie is a satisfying low cost alternative.

I remember a holiday movie my father made in the 1950s. It had an animated title filmed, like the rest of the movie on 8mm celluloid film. When I asked him about it, he told me he had put his camera in a clamp pointing at the floor. He then created the first letter of the title using a piece of string and filmed it for a couple of seconds, then he created the second letter and so on. It was several days later, when the film came back from the developing laboratory that he discovered that his desk lamp had not really been adequate to illuminate his work properly.

Then along came computers. It took a while before computers got good at graphics, even stationary ones. But of course they did eventually get good, not only at rendering still scenes, but also animations. Unfortunately Hollywood studios being able to afford high powered hardware and software did not make it accessible to the amateur movie maker.

The high price of professional 3D animation software led to the concept of Machinima. In Machinima inexpensive computer games are used to record 3D animated movie clips. Some computer games have a camera or record function built into them, and for others which do not, there are additional utilities such as Fraps, which can be used for recording the game action.

Popular Machinima games include Quake, Unreal Tournament and SIMS 2. These games come with the ability to design your own sets and characters, either as part of the main game itself or using utilities, which are provided with the game. Admittedly getting exactly the movie clips you want from these games can be challenging. I never did find out how to part characters in Unreal Tournament or Quake from their guns, which meant unless you wanted to make a shoot 'em up movie, they were not ideal. No doubt obstacles like this could be overcome, but it seemed you could not get very far unless you were prepared to get immersed in scripting language.

Of the three games I have mentioned, SIMS 2, is probably the easiest to use for making Machinima, except that the characters, or in our case actors, tend to have minds of their own. So your movie star may wander off part way through filming, or someone else you don't recognize, might suddenly turn up and disrupt the scene you are shooting. With SIMS 2 you might even find your movie set spontaneously combusting during filming if you forgot to buy fire insurance. Perhaps this is like movie making in real life, but I would prefer not to have to put up with all of these uncertainties.

So you may wonder why no one has produced a budget software product, specifically for the purpose of making 3D animations at home. In fact Microsoft did exactly that in the mid 1990s with a product called 3D Movie Maker, which they targeted at the kids market. However the product was designed for early PCs, so it was pretty basic, on most home PCs it was slow, and it was soon discontinued.

Recently there has been recognition of this unfulfilled need. Reallusion in particular, has developed a 3D animation movie maker called iClone. This software is pretty much a dream come true for anyone who wants to tell a story using 3D animation. In its basic form it costs about the same as a new top end computer game, while the more advanced and more useful Pro version is still very reasonable.

Although you could make a whole movie in iClone, I find it is best to use it to construct a series of 3D animation movie clips and to then edit them together using Microsoft Movie Maker, which comes as part of Windows, or using a more advanced home movie editing suite such as Pinnacle Studio.

Other key points to note about iClone are that if you want to get up and running very quickly, there is a good library of actors, scenes and props, which you can purchase to add to the collection, which comes with the program itself. On the other hand if you are short of cash and prefer to build everything yourself and have plenty of time to spare, you can do that too using the tools included in the software.

One optional utility, which I recommend purchasing bundled with the iClone, is Reallusion's 3DXchange. This allows you to import content from other sources, including Google 3D Warehouse, which is a fantastic resource full of free models of buildings and other props, to enhance your 3D animations.

I find it amazing to think that with a budget of less than ,000 I can now purchase a PC and the software required to make 3D animation movies, when twenty years ago I would have needed $ millions for less capable facilities.

Sir Isaac Newton for Kids

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Sir Isaac Newton (1642 - 1727) was an English scientist who made great contributions to physics, optics, math and astronomy. Among elementary and middle-school students, he is best known for his Three Laws of Motions and the Universal Law of Gravitation. Have you heard the story about an apple dropping on Newton's head? Learn more at the following sites.

NASA: Newton's Three Laws of Motion

"The motion of an aircraft through the air can be explained and described by physical principals discovered over 300 years ago by Sir Isaac Newton." This illustrated, hyperlinked lesson created by NASA introduces Newton's Laws of Motion and how they apply to aviation. The grade-level buttons (labeled 6-8, 9-12, and 11-12) link to related worksheets, activities, and quizzes. Stay on the Newton Guided Tour by navigating with the Next and Previous buttons, or jump to a new section by visiting the colored buttons (such as Kite Index or Model Rocket Index.)

The Physics Classroom: Newton's Laws of Motion

The Physics Classroom is an illustrated, animated tutorial for high-school students written by high-school science teacher Tom Henderson. These four lessons explain Newton's Laws of Motion with multimedia demonstrations and quizzes. My favorite clicks are the interactive activities listed in the Shockwave Physics Studio and the animations found in Multimedia.

PBS: Newton's Dark Secrets

"He was the greatest scientist of his day, perhaps of all time. But while Isaac Newton was busy discovering the universal law of gravitation, he was also searching out hidden meanings in the Bible and pursuing the covert art of alchemy. In this program, NOVA explores the strange and complex mind of Isaac Newton." Although few classrooms probably explore this side of Newton's fascinating character, I include it for variety. Best clicks are His Legacy, and Einstein on Newton.

For more on Isaac Newton and links to the sites reviewed here, visit Isaac Newton at "Surfing the Net with Kids".

Gardening - Your January To Do List

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

In this article we're going to go over your to do list for January when it comes to taking care of your garden.

For those of you thinking that this article may be a joke, the truth is, it's not too early to start preparing for your spring gardening. Getting a head start on some things can make your life a lot easier when the spring actually hits.

So just what can you do in January to get ready for your spring gardening chores?

The first thing is to start ordering from catalogs. There are a number of things you can get in advance like seeds so that when the spring hits you'll already have a number of things that you need and won't have to go around hunting them down in the busy stores that are now bustling with people starting their spring gardening.

The next thing you can do is rework your garden design. Tired of the way things are laid out? This is a good opportunity to decide just where you're going to plant your roses this year. Maybe you'll decide that you want to put up some small fences around a number of your plants. This is the time to get all those details out of the way so that when spring comes you're doing more working and less thinking.

Go over last year's journal and start a new one for this year making note of anything of importance that you will most likely have to do this year and even some things that you might want to add to your routine.

Check your stored bulbs and vegetables. Make sure that nothing has gone bad and that it's all usable. If not, replace what you can.

That Christmas tree that you were going to chuck in the trash? Why not instead recycle it as garden mulch or bird feeder. Certainly you can find better uses for it than the trash.

Whatever birds are still around, feed them and give them some unfrozen water. You want to make sure they come back when spring time begins.

Why not take some advanced gardening classes? You can always learn some new things even if you're an accomplished gardener. If you're first starting out, this is the time to do it so that when the spring comes you're not standing around scratching your head wondering what to do first.

Of course you'll also want to sharpen all your tools. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to dig up the soil with dull tools. Sharpening them now saves you from having to sharpen them when you could be doing more important things.

If you're in an especially cold climate, this is the time to start cool season seeds like cauliflower, leeks and geranium seeds.

In certain zones you can start seeds of annuals that grow slowly like ageratum, nicotiana petunias, portulaca, snapdragons and verbena and direct seed plants that need a period of cold.

Also, check your outdoor plants for animal damage and your indoor plants for any pests.

Doing all these things in advance will make your spring planting season go a lot smoother.

Can Drinking Green Tea Battle Cancer?

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

A number of research results have demonstrated that green tea has certain properties that are beneficial for preventing cancer. Places like Japan where tea is frequently used, show lower instances. Nevertheless, researchers have yet to claim with absolute certainty that tea can prevent cancer. Research hints however, that the antioxidant polyphenols contained in tea may be a significant tool in the fight. This article will discuss the link between tea and certain specific types of cancer.

There have not been many studies looking at the connection between the consumption of green tea and bladder cancer. One research project has determined that women who consumed tea decreased their chances of suffering from this disease. Subsequently, it was shown that men drinking tea benefited from a higher rate of survival over a period of five years.

Research carried out on animals has shown that polyphenols found in tea prevent the development of cells that cause breast cancer. Studies have demonstrated that in women drinking the greatest amounts of tea, breast cancer spread at the slowest rate. This was particularly prominent with early detection in women who had not yet reached menopause. Recurrences of wer also fewer in those who drank several cups of green tea on a daily basis. Similarly, it was found that women suffering from ovarian cancer that consumed tea daily lived longer than women who did not.

As regards colorectal cancer, the results have not been definitive. More studies are needed in order to determine whether tea can have beneficial effects.

The situation is similar with esophageal cancer. While research on animals has demonstrated positive results, with humans the results were less definitive. Some studies have even shown that green tea can lead to higher risk. This was especially true when the tea was drunk hot. Scientists must carry out more studies before suggesting green tea as a way of inhibiting this disease.

Conflicting results were also obtained for lung, prostate and stomach cancer. More research is needed to examine the link between tea consumption and these diseases.

Research reports studying the effects of green tea on skin and pancreatic cancer is cautiously more optimistic. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which is the principal polyphenol found in green tea, has been proven to have attributes that are capable of inhibiting the appearance and development of tumors on the skin. One study has shown that tea may be beneficial for preventing pancreatic cancer, but others have shown that there is no link between the popular herb and this particular disease.

Clearly, more work has to be done here. At the present time, there seems to be as much anecdotal evidence as hard facts to support or dismiss green tea as a possible tool in the battle against this disease. The benefits are very dependent on the particular strain in question. The good news is, that research is ongoing, and will continue until a cure or prevention is discovered.

In Need of Desirable Counsel With Greenery Interior Improvements?

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Decorating with Topiaries

The definition of a topiary is a plant that is trimmed in a fashion not ordinarily appearing to be a plant. Hedges and bonsai trees, which are very dense plants, are a perfect canvas for topiary design. There is almost no end to what can be created: people and animals, geometric shapes, and detailed landscapes and mazes are all common choices. Many people who love topiaries but do not have a place to display a 20-foot shrub choose to decorate their houses with much smaller silk topiaries. You have probably seen silk topiaries before in the workplace or in churches and other public buildings. The most common design for the silk topiary is the spiral. This is due to the small offices and spaces that these topiaries are required to fill.

Keys to Making Your Silk Plants Last

To guarantee a long life for your silk plants, there are a few basic guidelines you ought to follow. First, the silk, plastic, or other materials used in most artificial plants can fade if placed in direct sunlight. You do not have to completely avoid sunlight, but make sure the location of plants gets shifted periodically. Another way to prevent your plants from fading is to keep them from getting dusty. Since many plants and flowers are pretty delicate, make sure to keep them away from the grasp of youngsters. If something does happen to your plant, check with the manufacturer about how to fix them. You can correct a lot of mishaps by using a hot glue gun. If the damage is more substantial, wrap, tighten, and seal repairs with wire.

Silk Grass Arrangements

As you decorate your home, one consideration you may not yet have made is to use silk grass arrangements. This decoration tool will work especially well for you if you live on a ranch, in the West, or in a desert-like environment. Silk grass designs are closer in size to flower arrangements than to silk trees and plants. They also make great accents for some of the larger greenery. Window ledges and water fountains also look nice with a silk grass arrangement. You will be credited with choosing a unique and refreshing decoration for your home. After all, the more styles you try, the more likely you are to find just the right look for each corner of your home.

Steps to Building a Wreath

A lovely wreath on your door will tell visitors to your home something about you before they even step inside. Wreaths vary in many ways: the materials used, the shape chosen, the style emulated. You just need a foam ring and some silk flowers to get started. Take the flowers and cut off the stems about one inch from the calyx, or bottom of the flower. Insert the flowers one at a time into the foam ring. As you are positioning the flowers, make sure that the foam is thoroughly covered; however, you do not want your flowers to look too crowded! As you add the flowers, it is a good idea to dot them with a little glue from a hot glue gun at the point where the stem comes out of the foam. A little extra green in your wreath is often a nice touch-use leaves or vines to supplement your flowers. You can choose to create wreaths using one kind of flower in many colors, or one color using many flowers-or a combination. Finally, choose what part of the wreath you want on "top" and tie a string around that area so that you can hang it on the door.

High Rankings - Indexing With a Flash Based Website

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Flash websites are certainly very aesthetic and eye-catchy and the right way to allure visitors. Today, in the web market there is a proliferation of Flash Web Designs.

More and more website owners are vying with one another in building attractive Flash-based Websites to ward off competition. Today, Flash web designs are an ideal means to create animated series, add up video into web pages, web advertisements and more recently to develop internet applications.

But the grim fact remains that though Flash-based websites are appealing to users, they are not to that extent search engine friendly. This is the one basic demerit of all Flash websites. Yet another disadvantage of Flash-based Websites is it takes a long time for a user to download and thus visitors may turn to other websites to get information almost immediately. Dynamic Websites cannot easily use flash. It has to be converted into HTML file and then followed by Flash Designs.

The basic aim of any website design whether it is HTML site or a flash-based website, is to lure more and more customers. A web user looks for not only unique content, high speed and smooth navigation but also captivating designs. The primary intention is not only to invite customers but to sustain their interest.

This is primarily because the search engine robots find the Flash works very complex and confusing. These robots obviously cannot index a Flash design like a plain text. They can only index the file names. Nevertheless, it may still be possible to find some ways to improve SEO of Flash based websites.

It may be purposeful to enter in metadata in Flash websites. Meta description and keywords must contain the significant keywords and the use of keywords is important for SEO. There is what is called Meta Description Tag which contains the description of the website through the use of right key words.

Generally Flash websites consist of only a single web page wherein the complete details of the company, its products and services etc. are given. It is very difficult for the search engines to exploit one web page. It is, therefore, necessary to have several separate pages with the right keywords to describe the company details.

Many of us may not be aware that the Search Engine (SDK) comprises of an application called swf2html. This application extracts links and text from a Flash file and then transfers the data into an HTML file. Proper use of this kit can certainly help in optimizing Flash websites.

Effective off page optimization can be a solution for SEO of flash-based websites. Employ the anchor text in a proper way. The first rule is the anchor text must contain the significant keywords. Secondly, inbound links are very useful in optimizing websites. The more the number of inbound links from websites the more the chances of better optimization. One imaginative way of linking building is through creating articles of the websites in various article directories and important websites. Create and maintain separate blogs under the main domain or sub domain, which is a potent tool SEO of Flash based website. A Flash website must post comments on topics in relevant forums. This strategy may eventually help in optimizing websites.

Notwithstanding the various demerits of Flash-based web designs, the Flash Website Design is extremely popular and in great demand.

Mobile Pet Grooming Business

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

When considering starting your own business, it is important to think about your personal work style. Do you like working at a desk, or do you prefer physical labor? Would you rather have a brick and mortar business, a purely Internet based business, or would you like to be on the go throughout the day? If you are the type of person who wants a non-traditional franchise where your office is on wheels, and you go directly to your clients, then a mobile pet grooming business may be the right franchise for you.

What is a mobile pet grooming business? Literally, a mobile pet grooming business is a salon on wheels. Groomers work from modified vans or RVs outfitted with all the tools that a groomer needs. The basic mobile grooming salon will have a worktable, running water, and storage for supplies. More sophisticated mobile grooming salons will include built-in pet crates, dryers, and even full sized bathtubs. A mobile groomer will meet clients in their homes and do the grooming on the spot, saving the client the hassle and headache of transporting their animal to and from a traditional groomer.

What does it take to open my own mobile pet grooming business? Regulations for animal groomers vary from state to state, but in general becoming a pet groomer does not require the same level of certification as does becoming a beautician or cosmetologist. While it may not require formal certification, being a groomer certainly entails good training. If you are considering starting your own grooming business, consider purchasing a franchise from a legitimate franchiser. Pet grooming franchisers will provide training, support, mentorship, and even in some cases credit to help you purchase your own mobile grooming van. Before making a financial commitment, consider going on a ride along with an experienced pet groomer to see if you enjoy the grooming business. Most local governments require any business to have a business license, check with your city or county government to determine the regulations that apply in your area. In general, a good franchiser will assist you with starting your new business off on the right foot.

What is the income potential of my mobile pet grooming business? With your own business, the income potential is up to you. If you start with a franchise with a legitimate company, you will begin your business with the power of name recognition behind you from day one. Building on this solid foundation, you can build your own clientele. Call local groomers to get an idea about what the average charge for your services should be. Make your pricing competitive, and then get out there to find clients. Post ads at shelters and pet stores, set up a table at community street fairs and events, and take advantage of any opportunity to get your business name mentioned. If you maintain a clean and professional business, you can grow your mobile pet grooming business into a steady and reliable source of income.

The Importance of 3D Interior and 3D Exterior Rendering to Architecture

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Today with all the advancements in the field of virtual reality and animation, very few industries have been left untouched by these technologies, least of all the architectural industry. Manually drawn perspective views and hand rendering is passé as clients are increasing making demands for 3D interior and 3D exterior views that looks as real as photographs taken of the finished product.

There are many benefits of 3D modeling and rendering to an architectural project:

  • Identification of Design flaws: A building is a sophisticated piece of workmanship and so it is often difficult to visualize completely through just 2D drawings. When one generates a 3D model of the design, one gains the opportunity of viewing it from every angle. Hence many design flaws that could otherwise have been overlooked can easily be identified and rectified well before construction begins. This will help to reduce unnecessary costs and also save on the time required for construction.
  • Effective communication to client: It is very important for an architect to deliver to their clients exactly what they wish for from their building. Often a gap is noticed between the client's needs and an architects understanding of it which leads to the proposal being in some ways different from what the client was actually looking for. This is eliminated when 3D rendering tools are adopted. When a 3D interior or 3D exterior view is presented to the client, he gets a better understanding of the materials and architectural features used in the building and is able to judge the overall effect they have on the aesthetics of design. Incase of any discrepancies with his requirements, changes can be easily made at that stage rather than after it has been constructed.
  • Improves salability of the design: 3D interior and 3D exterior views are doubly advantageous when it comes to the salability aspect. For one it helps the architect to be able to convince the client of his abilities in delivering good work to him. On the other hand real estate developers depend on them to secure the interest of prospective stake holders and get them to invest in the project. Besides that it is indispensable while marketing the projects (apartments, condos and villas) to customers.

It is not just snap shots of the building or interiors that can be developed through rendering, but to get a better understanding of the final product a whole new concept is in vogue nowadays- that of walkthroughs. A walk through is a type of movie made from a series of rendered images that allows one to move through a building and study it as if he was actually present within it. This technology has more or less revolutionized the industry since nothing except experiencing the building in reality could give one a better sense of the scale and feel of a design than a walkthrough.

With such advantages as these one can understand how 3D rendering has become an indispensable tool for architects everywhere and as architectural design becomes more and more dependent on computers with every passing day, it is likely that the future will see it becoming even more so.

What's the Difference Between 2D and 3D Anyway?

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

Isn't it obvious? Well, apparently not quite, when you consider how many people are still struggling with this topic!

The first concept you must grasp is that 3D means 3 dimensional and 2D means 2 dimensional. Now before you think I'm stating the obvious, let me go on to say that the 3D and 2D in animation refer to the dimension in which the animation was created. Ahhhh. The plot thickens eh?

For 2D animation, everything happens on a 2 dimensional platform. Pictures are flat, without depth and offer only one perspective. Objects and characters are usually drawn without the subtle soft shadows we see in real life and colours have few varying shades. In 3D animation, everything happens on a 3 dimensional platform. Pictures have depth and offer multiple perspectives just like in real life and have soft subtle shadows casted on the objects and characters within.

In 2D, characters look cartoonish and unrealisitc. In 3D, characters can look cartoonish but realistic at the same time.

Another way to think of this is to think in terms of a painting and a sculpture. 2D is a painting, and 3D is a sculpture. 3D introduces "depth perspective," so we not only see a rectangle (2D) but a CUBE (3D). You may also want to think of it like being the difference between a photograph of a glass of water (2D) and being able to reach out and actually pick up the glass of water (3D).

Typically, 2D involves "drawing," or movement on, say, a flat surface (sketch pad, etc.) or in the vertical and horizontal planes. 3D involves "modeling," i.e., creating objects in 3-dimensions using a computer software, residing in an expansive virtual environment, complete with lights, reflections, other objects, shadows, etc.

You could start training yourself by comparing a cartoon like Bugs Bunny, Aladdin, Lion King (2D) to "Toy Story 1,2 & 3, "Finding Nemo" and "Incredibles" (3D). If you have not watched any of these great cartoons, you should grab one right away or be branded a neantherdal forever!

Giraffe Information

,
ANIMATION TOOLS :

The giraffe is a favorite animal of many people. Everyone loves to see them at the zoo. They are the largest of any mammal and have very attractive markings on them. The giraffe is a very interesting animal to learn about.

People have always honored giraffes. There are many African cave paintings that have these animals in them. Ancient Egyptian art also has giraffe designs. Their tail hairs are used for jewelry and their hide has been used to make things like sandals and ceremonial shields. The Romans called the giraffe a camelopardalis, which means "camel marked like a leopard". This is where giraffes get their species name, camelopardalis.

Giraffes come from Africa. Because giraffes of this, they are used to droughts and can go for over a month without water! They can reach a height of eighteen feet and can weigh up to 2,800 pounds! Their body is a cream or buff color with irregular brown patches all over. The males are usually larger and darker than the females and also have thicker horns and a lump on the forehead. Both males and females have stiff manes on their necks. Their tongue is between 18 and 21 inches long.

There are nine subspecies of the giraffe: the reticulated or Somali Giraffe, the Angolan or Smoky Giraffe, the Kordofan Giraffe, the Masai or Kilimanjaro Giraffe, the Nubian Giraffe, the Rothschild's or Baringo or Ugandan Giraffe, the South African Giraffe, the Thornicroft or Rhodesian Giraffe and the West African or Nigerian Giraffe.

The Giraffe's unique body is a form of adaptation for them to survive. They have extremely long legs and a long neck in order to gather food better. They are herbivores and their height and leathery mouth allow them to reach and eat leaves. Their unique coloration is for their protection.

Giraffes stand up all the time; they even sleep standing up! When they give birth, the baby falls six feet to the ground. When they are born though, they are already six feet tall and can quickly stand up. Baby giraffes can even grow an inch a day!

Giraffes usually live in herds of five to fifteen individuals. There is only one male to a herd. Other males either live alone or in pairs. Giraffes can watch for danger very easily using their height and great senses of smell and eyesight. They actually only sleep for about a half hour a day, but only sleep for five minutes at a time. If they do sense danger, they are very fast animals and can run at speeds up to 35 miles per hour. The lion is their main predator. The giraffe's heavy hooves are powerful enough to take a lion's head off though!

The giraffe is an unmistakable, truly fascinating animal unlike anything else. There are so many interesting facts about the giraffe. Unfortunately, this animal is often killed by poachers and their habitat is destroyed a lot. Giraffes have even gone extinct in some countries, including Senegal, Mauritania, Mali and Mozambique. Farmers also kill giraffes because they eat their crops. If people aren't careful, there will be no more giraffes in Africa. We need to protect these animals and their habitats.
